Workers in agriculture, horticulture, environmental, and forestry professions experience on a daily basis how exploitative and destructive the existing economic system is. Every year, people die doing this work. Many struggle with precarious contracts, wage dumping, and discrimination, especially our migrant comrades. While agricultural workers in other regions of the world experience hunger, violence, and displacement, the fruits of these conditions end up in our supermarkets.
But we know that these abuses are no coincidence. They are the result of a system that puts profits before people and nature. The agricultural industry and politicians are exacerbating the crises—climate destruction, species extinction, and environmental pollution—instead of solving them. At the same time, our living and working conditions are being further deteriorated by militarization, austerity policies, and real wage losses.
We want to change that. Together with grassroots initiatives and solidarity-based farms, we are committed to food sovereignty, ecological justice, and a good life for all. Millions of people worldwide are fighting for the same change: a solidarity-based, democratic, and ecological economy.
That is why, in solidarity with the FAU’s Green Trade Initiative (IGG), we are calling on everyone to join the “We’ve had enough!” demonstration on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Join us in the anti-capitalist bloc—against exploitation and environmental destruction, for solidarity, justice, and systemic change!
When: Saturday 17.01.26, 12 pm
Where: Brandenburger Tor, the anti-capitalist bloc.
After the demonstration, there will also be a networking evening at 7:30 p.m. at Prinzenallee 58. Feel free to join us!
