
In recent years, many people have been considering not participating in public political activity due to fear of facing repression at their workplace.
This event seeks to help workers against backlash, or fear thereof, from employers due to their political activities outside of union work (climate change, pro-Palestine, anti-fascism, etc.). It is aimed at providing case-by-case, tailored solutions, as well as broader strategies to protect the rights of those who wish to be politically vocal, also in their workplace.

Timetable:
• 16:00 – 18:00. One-on-one free private legal counselling with Rupay Dahm, a lawyer for workers rights (DE/EN). Six available slots of 20 min each. You do not need to be a FAU-member to register. To guarantee your case can be discussed, you need to pre-register and provide details about your case in advance so our lawyer can prepare: Sign up form
• 18:00 – 19:00. 1-hour roundtable with a lawyer answering any questions from the audience about their specific case or more generic ones on this (DE/EN). Walk-in, no registration. We will share our experiences and find answers to open questions together with the lawyer.
• 19:00 – 19:15. Break
• 19:15 – 19:45. Presentation by FAU-members on how organising collectively in your workplace can strengthen your position and ability to face repression from your boss.
• 19:45 – 20:15. Questions and discussion.
• 20:15. Vegan Küfa with gluten-free options and Open Lokal.
