We are employees of SYKES Berlin, organized at the labor union Freie Arbeiter*innen Union Berlin (Free Workers Union Berlin). Contact us: faub-sykes@fau.org

1. What we want

We want to improve our poor working conditions, campaign for better wages and benefits, defend the interest of the workers and support each other in SYKES and in Berlin.

We strive to defend and promote social, economic and professional interests related to the work activities in the call-center.

2. What we offer

We listen to your problems and think collectively about solutions or steps we can make together. For example, the labor union FAU has experience with:

*    Law information and support

*    Planning strategies for winning conflicts

*    Create public awareness
*    Mutual support

3. Join us!

You can come to our next meeting or ask us for a small counseling session if you have a problem at work. Just write us to faub-sykes@fau.org (use your personal email, not your professional account!) and we will organize an appointment with you.

A union is always as strong as its members – So we also ask you to join us and become a member of FAU!

By joining FAU Berlin, you will get the maximum amount of support, and with a small contribution (1% of your salary) you are also supporting other workers that are going through tough situations. It`s a give and take – it`s solidarity!

4. “But I don’t want to get into trouble…”

SYKES doesn’t know whether you come to our meetings, or contact us, or become a member of the union.

The main principle of a union is to protect and promote the interests of its members – so we would say that becoming a union member actually prevents certain kinds of trouble instead of causing it.

SYKES won’t pay: how to proceed?

SYKES profits from not paying their workers for extra hours worked, remaining holidays and bonuses when their contracts have come to an end. A member of FAU Berlin is now fighting for his right to get his money.
