It’s the most important time of the year again! Everyone who wants to relax a little bit before or after the demonstrations on the 1st of May is welcome to join our BBQ at the Lokal. Apart from that, we offer the very exciting Organizing 4 Power Workshops at the beginning of May and our usual meetings.
These days, German policy is clear: reintroducing conscription, limitless military spending, and talk of “readiness for war.” But resistance is also growing.
In the talk “From Militarization to Military Service — Lessons in Resistance from Israeli Civil Society,” Or, a conscientious objector and activist from the Israeli organization New Profile, reports on what we can learn from those resisting militarization, conscription, and war.
Spring is here, and with it a row of exciting events. The 12th of April is our General Assembly, and from the 17th to 19th of April the AG 8th of March is hosting the FemFAU, which deals with feminist union work. Come along!

In den frühen zwanziger Jahren hatte die Freie Arbeiter-Union Deutschlands zeitweise 150.000 Mitglieder und spielte im Berliner Raum eine wichtige Rolle bei Arbeitskämpfen und im politisch-kulturellen Leben. Wir verfolgen ihre Ursprünge in der Freien Vereinigung deutscher Gewerkschaften und zeichnen die Jahre bis 1923 nach, die von Bürgerkrieg, rechtem Kapp-Putsch und der Hyperinflation geprägt waren. In jene Zeit fielen die Verabschiedung der von Rudolf Rocker verfassten Prinzipienerklärung des Syndikalismus als Grundlage für den Aufbau einer freien Gesellschaft, die Gründung der Internationalen Arbeiter-Assoziation 1922 in Berlin und der Versuch, die revolutionäre Bewegung erneut zu entfachen.
