Screening and discussion: Anti-Authoritarians at War, with film director Nico Dix. The documentary tells the story of anti-authoritarian resistance to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the experiences, motivations, and struggles of anarchists and anti-fascists who chose to resist aggression.
Since 2024, workers at CNT Barcelona have been fighting for better working conditions at NH Hotels, including fair wages, a cash-shortage allowance, and free parking. Management responded with intimidation and the dismissal of active union members.
On 11 May 2026, the labour court finally deemed the dismissals null and void, condemning NH Hotel’s for violating the fundamental right to freedom of association. The victory signals to the company that workers united can never be defeated.
In June, alongside our regular counselling and our open Lokal hours every Friday from 6pm to 9pm, we have two special events in store for you: on 5 June, there will be a talk (in German) on the history of the FAUD Berlin – covering the struggle against fascism from 1929 to 1933 and the resistance against the Nazi dictatorship. This will be followed immediately by the IWW Organiser Training 101 (in English) on 6–7 June, which will cover practical organising methods and trade union strategies.
The upcoming labour law seminar will focus on the topic of protection against discrimination. The seminar will be led by lawyer Selina Sellemerten and will provide a basic understanding of what constitutes discrimination under the General Act on Equal Treatment (AGG).
