Who's afraid of black cats?
In the night of January 9-10, 2021, unknown persons sprayed the facade of the "Black Cat", the local of the FAU Hamburg, with insults and threats. We understand this as an attack not only on a few showcases of a syndicate, but on the Free Workers Union as a whole and as a statement against the international trade union movement. As workers, we take the attack personally and would like to publicly express our full solidarity with the FAU Hamburg.
We welcome that many other leftists and trade unionists from different directions have also taken the side of the FAU Hamburg. Together we turn the nightly intimidation attempt into its opposite! We hope that this will help the room "Schwarze Katze" to survive the pandemic times and afterwards to be open again as a place where struggling wage-dependents can meet in safety. In any case, the FAU Berlin pledges its support here. Militant trade union work only has a chance if we workers stand together.
